Happiness, Every Day.

I was tagged by Susie from New Day New Lesson for the Happy 101 Award. Susie writes a brilliant blog, drop by and see for yourself. I have to write about 10 things that make me happy every day and then nominate some great blogs for the award.

Things that make me happy, every day!

1. My husband and children.

2. Hugs/kisses from my husband or children, especially the open mouthed drooly ones that I get from my husband my two youngest children. Firstborn turns 8 tomorrow (who owns that child??) and hasn't kissed me for 3 years.

3. HRH, my two year old with autism, makes me really happy every day. He gets a special mention because of the progress he is making. Each day he does or tries something new. This is so special I can't describe it adequately. He is amazing.

4. My home - my safe place where I can close the door and let my belly hang out in all its glory. This metaphor has more than a hint of truth to it.

5. My internet connection. This allows me to stay in contact with my Facebook family and my blogging friends. It also allows me to blog, which makes me very happy too.

6. My laptop, see above.

7. The occasional night away with my husband, child free and courtesy of my wonderful parents. We have had two recently. All I can say is WOW, a whole nights sleep followed by a lazy, uninterrupted breakfast. Need I say more?

8. Coffee. I buy the beans, freshly roasted, and grind them myself. It is my treat to myself, several times a day! My favourite at the moment is Panama Esmeralda. The description is walnut whip in a cup, so true!

9. Shopping, especially for shoes and handbags. I need only explain that if you are male. If you are male and want to understand the fatal attraction women have to shoes and handbags then post your request in the comments.

10. Calorie free chocolate. Oh alright, strictly speaking I don't enjoy this every day as it is a figment of my imagination. However, I was enjoying chocolate everyday until last Thursday when I decided to start counting points with my friend Lainey. This is a belated attempt to lose the last of the baby weight before my sons First Communion, in 6 weeks time. As I no longer indulge in this little bit of daily happiness I am dreaming of calorie free chocolate instead.

Now, I will pass this award to blogs that I love:

Jean @ MommyToTwoBoys

Petunia @ Love, Life and Aspie Antics

Holly @ It's a Mummys Life

Candi @ Looking for Blue Sky

Tara @ Tazzymania

Andra @ The Perfect Storm

Caroline @ Last of the Mojitos

Debbi @ The Henry Family

Claire @ AJ My Superhero

Candace @ Living with Faith

I would be delighted for all the blogs I read to have this award, so please feel free to join in. I am incurably 'inquisitive' and would really enjoy this glimpse into your lives!

Thanks to Susie for tagging me.

Jen.

What a great 10, in particular it is funny how no.5 and no.6 are now 'standard' daily activities! I want the no.10 idea to come to fruition very soon!

It was nice to be able to get to know you like this, since this is my 1st visit, I'm coming over from Ellen's. I like low sugar or sugar free peanut better cups myself.

Great list! Coffee is such a blessing outside of the biggest ones (your family of course) as I sit here and drink it up to stay awake....gotta love it! Chocolate is wonderful too but I just don't allow myself to enjoy it anymore as I will get carried away. I do dream of it often though lol!

Aww shucks! Thanks girl! And I am so with you on the coffee and chocolate, even though I indulge in the real stuff, even on a diet. I would go nuts without it. But I am so happy to hear you are starting too! Let me know if I can help!
