Home, in one piece!

I have had the best holiday ever (vacation for Americans!). I feel so rested and relaxed, while at the same time jetlagged with a very fuzzy brain. 24 hours later and I am still being showered with kisses and hugs by my children and I am just as happy to see them. Some highlights of the trip:

Meeting Jean from Mommy to two Boys.
Jean cracked up laughing when my Mum used 'fortnight' in real conversation.

Meeting Varda from The Squashed Bologna
Notice my sweatshirt? That is so I won't forget where I am!

A portion of my shopping spree
(I dare not look at my visa bill just yet)

Meeting Jean and Varda was fantastic. We have been readings each others blogs for so long and know each other so well. We just sat down and chatted, like it was normal for us to meet and chat in real life! The fact that they live in New York and I  live in Ireland and it was our first time meeting didn't cause any awkwardness at all. Definitely the highlights of my holidays.

I also made it to Target and loved it, Jillsmo, DaniG and Lynn talk about often. I couldn't find a Chuck E Cheese though, BigDaddy had warned me off but I needed to find out for myself. Oh well, maybe next time! Kathleen, I waved at you as I flew over Maine, I know you live somewhere beginning with 'M' and I think it is Maine.........

I have just marked 1000 blog posts in my reader as 'all read' because there is no way I can catch up on that many. So tell me, what did I miss? How are you all keeping?

Jen, I had such a lovely time with you & your Mum! And then my cold turned nasty and Ethan caught it (yes, wrote a post about that) so I haven't had a moment to upload & send you my photos. I promise to do that within a few days.

Needing to rest up for the NYC Mom Bloggers & Friends Mid-Winter-Blues-Chase-Away Meet-Up tonight that I somehow Tweeted into existence.

Come back sooooooon!
