That is how much new information we have since I last posted. Aside from a large number of blood tests that are supposed to screen for rare metabolic disorders (but I believe there is really a bunch of vampires living under the hospital) not a lot happened.
Fortunately HRH continues to go from strength to strength. He is in great form, I have heard him laugh more in the last ten days that I have in the entire 3.5 months he has been 'sick'. He now weights 15.3 kg, still low but that is a kilo gained this week.
He is now quite enjoying being at hospital and has really settled into the routine. When our nurse walks in he sticks out his arm, points to it and says 'arm' and then says 'blue' for the blue blood pressure cuff to go on. The nurses are thrilled to be getting some chat and smiles out of him.
Me? Well, after a few days break from the hospital I went back in and caught myself walking on 'light tiles'. I only realised I was doing this when I hit a bank of dark tiles and was going to do a graceful ballet type jump over them............OCD anyone??!!
Yep, thats me, stress/exhaustion related compulsion..........with style!

Hope you get some answers soon, but I'm glad he's gaining weight and handling it well. ((()))
The weight gain is great. And don't worry about the tiles thing. It's kinda nice being mental XXX
I got excited seeing the title of this post, thinking that the results showed a whole lot of nothing! Glad to hear that his spirits (and weight) are up. I am the queen of OCD, so Lord knows I'd being doing much worse than just walking on certain tiles. Love to you.. XOXOXO
I'm glad he's perked up a bit...I hope that this is resolved SOON!!
Oh I can kind of understand the tiles...but it doesn't turn into ocd until you start assigning meaning to them..i.e. if I step on only light tiles it will be a perfect day...but if you step on mostly light tiles and part of a dark one by accident..then the day won't be as perfect..and then if you..*sigh* NOT that I have any experience or anything..:)
I'm so happy to hear that he's feeling a bit more like himself. Keep the updates coming!
Nothing wrong with the tiles bit. I'm always a freak if the tile is cracked, then what?!?
I'm glad HRH is keeping up the weight and in good spirits. Just seeing a smile cure's a lot of ills.
I do hope they find answers for you soon.
We all tread on the light tiles in this house too...whatever helps :) Great to read that HRH is more cheerful and gaining weight xx
I was also suckered by the whole lot of nothing title. Grr. Still waiting for answers, you're doing a lot better than I would, OCD and all. Glad to hear the hospital environment kind of works for him. I spent a lot of time in them as a child, and really liked it! I know, I'm weird, but I always got lots of toys from visitors. :)
I totally get the tiles thing... so glad he is happier and gaining weight. Thinking of you.
Sounds like he's improving a bit, whether they've figured out the problem or not...and that's wonderful.
=)
So glad to hear he's in good spirits and has gained some weight. I'm hoping you get some definitive answers soon
I'm glad to hear that HRH's spirits are up!
Good to hear that HRH is laughing so much.
Jen, glad to hear your little one is gaining weight and laughing again, as for the OCDish tendencies, I'd never do any of that stuff..ahem..well, not that much... Thinking of you all Bx
Fantastic news that HRH is going from strength to strength, gaining weight and getting used to hospital. I just hope you get the answers you deserve soon xx
Glad HRHG is continuing to show imrpovement and you got a little break from the hospital x

SO glad that HRH is getting used to the hospital, but hate the fact that it's come to that. Love to you both xxx
Jen, I have just been catching up on all your past posts about HRH as I neglected my blogging for quite a while so have only seen the most recent, and just wanted to send you our love. I really, hope and pray that someday soon they will have an answer for you x
I really hope that you get some answers soon sounds a nightmare xx
Oh, I like your style girl! Any OCD tendancies are totally forgiven. How cute is HRH? So good to hear that he's doing well...and smiling...and chatting :-)
Good to see you today and Her Cuteness is terribly cute too! She is SUCH a dote. You got yourself some cute kids :-)
xx Jazzy
Good to hear he is doing somewhat better Jen. And next time you gracefully leap over the dark tiles please ask one of the nurses to tape it. That would make my day :)
A little OCD is to be expected under so much stress! Glad he is starting to feel a bit better, and hope they get to the bottom of things soon.
you and HRH are in my thoughts a lot Sending many many many hugs
